I truly love getting contacted by that family that you can tell are happy! The children are happy & the parents are in love. There is a certain level of comfort that comes with that. I love seeing my clients own personal style reflect in their images. Never be afraid to be yourself. Your portraits are supposed to portray who you are in life. They are simply supposed to be a moment in time that was frozen by the click of a shutter!

I met Karrie & Cody Saturday morning to capture some final moments of just the “two of them” before they welcome their sweet baby girl into their world. It’s always so sweet to experience those last few weeks that a couple has before their entire world shifts. Once you welcome your first baby; all focus shifts onto them {as it should be}. After they arrive nothing about yourself matters quite as much except that you are their Mommy or Daddy! Then they are the most important thing in your life.

So if you have those last couple weeks before your first little one arrives take the time for yourself. Do something you love, read a book, enjoy the peace and quiet, and most definitely do a DATE NIGHT!

I must first admit that I truly love my job! People always dream of having a career where they are happy to go to work & really enjoy what they do. Not all achieve that, sometimes we must take odd jobs until we find that perfect job for us. I’m so lucky to have found that in my mid-late 20′s rather than late in life.

There is no better way for me to spend my daughter’s naptime than photographing a sweet newborn baby. Today one of my dear friends brought her new baby girl over for her Newborn session. I had to spend the first {almost} 30 minutes of the session cuddling this sweet baby girl. She is beautiful and such a peaceful baby. I’ve had baby fever for quite some time but holding these sweet babies is definitely making it worse….or better; depending on how you look at it. After all, they are such a blessing!

Congrats Amanda & Mark on your beautiful baby girl!

This next one is quite possibly one of my all-time FAVORITES!!!  I had to use my custom red/white/blue elf hat made by Adorable Props. Check her out! She makes “adorable” hats!…..the last one just because I love a simple B&W newborn portrait!

My best friend and her family came to visit us here in South Carolina a couple weeks ago. We’ve known each other for 25 years and been best friends for most of that. She lives in Arkansas so it was not a short trip! There’s something about best friends; especially the ones you’ve had for that long. You can move half a country away, not talk for weeks on end, not see each other in over a year but when you reunite; you pick up where you left off. No awkward moments, no hesitations, no backtracking on the friendship! It was so good to see her and spend that week with her & our families. Watching her boys & my little girl play made my heart happy!

I was also able to capture some family portraits for them while they were here. I mean….after all that is why they drove through 4 states right; so I could do their family portraits?!?!

My sweet boys! YES I said my boys! You see, they are mine and my little girl Cadence is hers! I sure do miss them! Aren’t they little heartbreakers!!!!!Quite possibly one of my favorites! Father & Sons Moments are very special.

Cake Smash Session with little Miss A! Hard to imagine she’s almost a year old! I did her portraits right before Christmas and it’s has been a joy to watch her grow! I haven’t met too many little ones that would rather paint with their cake icing instead of eating it. Hey, it works for her! She’s quite the little artist!

When we think about all our military overseas fighting, sometimes you don’t think of all the things they miss while they are fighting for us! While we are home in our nice air conditioned home enjoying the things we love, tucking our little ones into bed or watching them play soccer….the list can go on and on. Our American Heroes are overseas missing out on so much that we get to experience. Sometimes all they wish for are the little moments that we all sometimes take for granted.

Saturday morning I woke up about 5:30 am, got things ready and met a fellow military spouse at the airport. Today she and her sweet baby boy would welcome his Daddy home from war. Sweet moments, right? Well this reunion was even sweeter than you can imagine. You see, Daddy & Son have never met face to face. That is just one sacrifice this man made so he could protect our freedom. It’s a big one, but just one among MANY! The moment he wrapped his arms around his wife & little boy was a moment that will be etched into their memories forever. They now have that memory captured and will be able to show their grandchildren one day!

To the R Family: I want to thank you for the sacrifices you made for our country and always know that you are deeply appreciated and it will not be forgotten!

I had the pleasure of photographing a fellow Military family on Monday morning. Not only are the children playmates of my daughter’s but the mom is a very close friend of mine! I enjoyed photographing their sweet family. Enjoy Leah <3Had to also grab a couple shots of Mom & Dad! Sometimes when we start having children we don’t always remember to get portraits of us as couples without our kiddos! Always make it a point when you get family portraits done to have the photographer grab some shots of you as a couple before you leave. Your little ones will enjoy the play time. 40 years down the road when your little ones are grown you will have some portraits of yourselves throughout the years too.

Hi Everyone! Christina {CAE Photography} here, hope everyone is having a FABULOUS day! Welcome to CAE Photography’s new blog. I’ve heard so many great things about WordPress and decided to try it out. So far, it’s looking mighty great!

Just a quick thank you to ALL my past, present, and future clients for being so awesome! You guys ROCK! I miss all my Arizona clients but South Carolina has been GREAT to me too! I’ve met some wonderful people and made some great additions to our Military Family.
